Breaking News 8/31/11:
Supervisor Boyd has announced a 12 person committee which will be working closely with VDOT to design the northern terminus of the US-29 Bypass to best suite the needs and wants of those affected citizens in his district. The committee members will be meeting three times during the month of September with a possible fourth meeting in a Town Hall setting. The committee hopes to begin meeting next week and will provide vital community involvement with the Northern Terminus of the project. The committee members include:

- Scott Collins, a local engineer
- George Fitz-Hugh, the manager of Union First Market Bank in Forest Lakes
- Sue Friedman, a South Forest Lakes resident and member of the Forest Lakes Homeowner's Association
- Jim Grace, a North Forest Lakes resident
- David Lourie, Polo Grounds Resident and Head of St. Anne's Belfield
- Charles Martin, a Terrybrook resident and Former Board of Supervisors Representative
- Russell Moodya Route 29N Land Owner
- David Shifflett, a South Forest Lakes Resident and President of Forest Lakes Homeowner's Association
- Charlie Smith, a Hollymead Resident and President of the Hollymead Citizens Association
- Ann Thornber, a South Forest Lakes resident
As has been a hallmark of his service to the Rivanna community, Ken brought in officials from VDOT to a Town Hall meeting to discuss the details of the western bypass with neighbors. Below are examples of possible modifications to the original VDOT plan shown at the meeting as a way to preserve the quality of life for neighbors and deal with safety issues.
